BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Somerset County’s annual 2022 Free Summer Concert Series, featuring classic rock, country, R&B, Motown and pop, returns to Duke Island Park on Sundays from of July 17.
The Somerset County Park Commission will host the concert series on Sundays from July 17 to August 14, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Duke Island Park, located at 191 Old York Road, Bridgewater.
Visitors should bring a blanket or chair. A food truck will be on site.
Here is a list of bands and performance dates:
July 17 – AM Gold
The New York-based tribute band will perform ‘yacht rock’, the musical genre also known as ‘smooth rock’ featuring hits from the 1970s and 1980s such as popular music by Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross, Lionel Richie and more.
July 24 – Radio Nashville
This six-piece band, Radio Nashville, is made up of a fiddler and a fantastic lead guitarist that appeals to all ages. Their performance of modern country, pop-country and classic music with hits from Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and many more will have the audience dancing in their seats.
July 31 – DelSatins by Stan Zizka
The DelSatins quintet began performing in Manhattan in 1958 and were influenced by R&B groups like Heartbeats, The Dubs and The Flamingos. They released two R&B CDs titled “Still Wanderin” and “Voices of Velvet & Steel”.
August 7 – The Launch Fanfare
As the only tri-state tribute band, the Launch Band performs music from Queen, Styx and Boston, which features rich harmonies and powerful guitars. The Launch recreates the feeling of a classic rock concert like no other.
August 14 – Epic Soul
From soulful Motown medleys to today’s R&B, pop, rock and contemporary hits, EPIC SOUL moves from song to song and entertains audiences. These talented musicians have toured with some of the best performers in the music industry such as Alicia Keys, Gloria Gaynor, Mariah Carey, Chaka Kahn, Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony and South Side Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.
