FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – October 16-22 is National Friends of Libraries Week and the Allen County Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Allen County Public Library groups are marking the occasion with the launch of a new website.
The website comes at a time when both groups are looking to increase membership and donations to support CPRA’s vital work in Allen County. The new website makes it easier than ever for the general community to support the work of the library with donations of time, talent and treasure.
The site features descriptions of current Friends and Foundation projects, goals and donations/memberships. Visitors can easily switch between the two groups to understand their differences and engage in a way that suits each user.
“While the Friends and the Foundation operate separately, we recognize the complementary goals of each institution when it comes to supporting the library we all love,” said Richard Beck, Chairman of the Foundation Board. “We believe the new website will help us tell this story and engage donors more effectively.”
The website was developed with the help of the local web development team, Digital Wolf, and was driven by the boards of directors of each entity.
“As we embark on future membership and donor campaigns, it is imperative that we have the structures in place to meet our supporters where they are,” said Michael Horton, President of Friends of CPRA . “We know there is overwhelming community support and we want to make it easier for people to get involved.”
The ACPL Foundation, the Friends of the ACPL and the Library itself invite visitors to explore the new website and become a donor or a Friend today. For more information, visit SupportACPL.org.
